Flow controller: Save costs with intelligent control
You have the option of using our reduced grid fees to charge your electric vehicles. For this purpose, we install a controllable consumption device in your charging infrastructure.
Greater flexibility in the electricity grid
You thus enable us as a grid operator to achieve greater flexibility in grid control and thus contribute to even more efficiency in the operation of the grid. By relieving the strain on the local electricity grid in times of high demand for electricity, you help to achieve a more even utilisation of the electricity grids. Among other things, you enable the integration of more electromobility. In return, you will be charged a significantly lower grid fee and you actively support the energy and transport revolution and make a contribution to climate protection.
Full control, full comfort
In this case, we will provide you with a flow controller: an additional meter with an integrated control module (e-pager), which can be used to control the current flow. The flow controller regulates power consumers, such as wallboxes or charging stations, and allows them to be paused at set times – tailored to suit the situation in the power grid. After the time has elapsed, the charging process continues automatically.
Reduce grid fees
The electricity grids are particularly busy on weekdays in the early evening: During this time, people come home, cook food, switch on the TV or start their washing machine.
Assume that you agree not to charge your electric vehicle between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.: Then you can save at least 60% on the grid fees included in your electricity price. Electricity suppliers offer special tariffs for this.
For an electric vehicle driving approx. 20,000 kilometres per year, this means annual savings of up to €300 when charging options are restricted between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Between 8 p.m. and 6 p.m. of the following day, you will of course be able to use the charging infrastructure again at full capacity for 22 hours. You can find the fees and times in our current price sheet on our Fees page.
