In the future, more and more home owners and tenants will attach importance to being able to charge their cars at night using the home’s own mobility connection. This feature already makes properties more attractive today. In the future, it may be one of the basic requirements for appealing to attractive owners or tenants.
Charging infrastructure for electric vehicles is now part of the basic equipment in new buildings, particularly since the Building Energy Act (GEIG) came into force in March 2021. In the medium term, this is also likely to be expanded to existing buildings, for example for apartment buildings with their own car park or underground car park.
We have already implemented numerous charging connection projects for companies in the real estate industry. This means that we are familiar with the special features of apartment buildings, for example. We are also in regular contact with the major associations of the housing and real estate industry, namely the BBU (Verband Berlin-Brandenburgischer Wohnungsunternehmen) and the BFW (Bundesverband der privaten Immobilienwirtschaft).
