Junction box styling 2015
In 2015, 40 schools made Berlin that little bit brighter by improving 500 junction boxes in their district with vibrant works of art. In doing so, they were supported by the associations meredo e. V. and Helliwood media & education im fjs e. V. and by street artists.
Twenty Berlin school classes entered this year's competition. The three most creative boxes in each of the three categories were selected by a jury of eight. Members of the jury evaluated the entries according to the idea and the design. The results this year were once again very close. You were also offered a chance to get involved and select your favourites for the public prize. Here too, there was little to choose between the winning boxes.
The prizes were awarded as follows
On 25 November, over 120 guests waited expectantly for the winners to be announced. The cash and material prizes were awarded to the school representatives by Thomas Schäfer, CEO of Stromnetz Berlin, with support from Big Moe, host on 98.9 KISS FM. All attendees then celebrated the winning project with festivities at Pizza und Popcorn.
