Junction box styling was a success once again this year. We are delighted that so many of Berlin's younger inhabitants are taking an interest and brightening the city with their creatively designed junction boxes. This year once again, we will be rewarding this engagement with the "Most creative junction box 2016" competition.

Competition "Most creative junction box 2016"
More than twenty Berlin school classes entered this year's competition. The three most creative boxes in each of the three categories were selected by a jury of seven. Members of the jury evaluated the entries according to the idea and the design. The results this year were once again very close. You were also offered a chance to get involved and select your favourites for the public prize. Here too, there was little to choose between the winning boxes.
We will continue the project with the associations again next year, and the schools participating in 2017 have already been confirmed. However, any schools interested in taking part may contact us or our project partners at any time.
The prizes were awarded as follows
On 30 November, over 120 guests waited expectantly for the winners to be announced. The cash and material prizes were awarded to the school representatives by Thomas Schäfer, CEO of Stromnetz Berlin, with support from Big Moe, host on 98.9 KISS FM. All attendees then celebrated the winning project with festivities at Pizza und Popcorn.
