We install renewable energy meters in just one week

We want to see an increase in the amount of power generated from renewable energy sources:

  • We never hesitate to connect systems that use renewable energy to our grid; in fact, we see it as a priority.
  • We make it our priority to immediately accept all the power generated by these systems from renewable energy and distribute it.
  • Moreover, we reimburse customers for power generated from renewable sources in accordance with the minimum remuneration rates set out in the Renewable Energies Act (EEG).

1. Why is Stromnetz Berlin GmbH making this customer promise?

We operate Germany's largest electrical city grid and our customer promise ensures that our customers receive an excellent, accountable service.

2. What exactly is the promise?

This is our promise to you: once we have received the necessary documents, a meter will be installed in the meter panel you have set up within one week.

If the meter is not installed within one week, we will give EUR 100 to each system operator concerned. This ex gratia payment is intended as a goodwill gesture.

3. Are there exclusion criteria, and if so, what are they?

Yes, there are several criteria that exclude a payment.

  • If the system operator fails to provide all the relevant documents.

7. Will the payment be made automatically?

No, the system operator has to get in touch with us and request the goodwill payment. He or she can make a goodwill payment request over the phone, via the online request form or by filling in the business reply card found in our "a promise is a promise" leaflet.
