Stromnetz Berlin awarded German Gold Seal of Excellence for Company Health Managemen

With a total score of 76, the Berlin network operator Stromnetz Berlin was today awarded the German Seal of Excellence for Company Health Management, Gold level.

During the extensive certification process, in which the company was supported by the health insurance company VIACTIV, employees and the employer were asked to judge the quality and effectiveness of company health management (CHM). In total, two-thirds of the employees participated in the anonymised survey for the German Seal of Excellence for Company Health Management.

The results indicated the areas where Stromnetz Berlin's company health management is already in very good shape. Along with health promotion with a wide variety of preventive offerings for exercise, nutrition and dealing with addiction, the company scored well in the areas of occupational medicine and work organisation.

For Thomas Schäfer, Managing Director of Stromnetz Berlin, the award is both a recognition and a stimulus. "The health and welfare of our employees is particularly important to management. We want to use the results of the certification as a stimulus for further systematic and sustainable development of structures and processes for healthy working. The numerous employee suggestions we have received in recent months during the process will also help us in this regard."

Today there was a celebration at the headquarters of Stromnetz Berlin, where the certificate was presented by Jürgen Clemens, Head of CHM and Prevention at VIACTIV, and Martin König, administrative office of the health promotion umbrella association BKK Dachverband. "Thanks to the outstanding partnership with Stromnetz Berlin, we have been able to jointly develop new and sustainable forms of CHM", said Jürgen Clemens. As a "sportive" health insurance company, VIACTIV focuses on health promotion and prevention. Company health management is high on the agenda, says Clemens. In cooperation with the partner companies, the aim is to develop ideas and services that reach out to employees.
