Sustainability and Compliance are important aspects for our own actions and also the cooperation with suppliers, service providers, partners and third parties.

Code of conduct for suppliers

Our code of conduct for suppliers (contractual partners who provide services for Stromnetz berlin GmbH, regardless of the type of service) sets out the requirements and expectations that we have of our suppliers. These include basic principles for lawful, responsible and ethically correct action and consideration of the requirements of the Supply Chain Duty of Care Act (LkSG). Further information can be found in our publication on the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act.

The Code of Conduct for Suppliers applies to contractors and subcontractors.

The Berlin Tendering and Public Procurement Act (BerlAVG), the Utilities Directive and European public procurement law are further key principles for awarding contracts.

Prevention of corruption

We actively prevent corruption and, as a municipal network operator, pursue a zero-tolerance policy towards bribery and all other forms of corruption. Corresponding regulations have been incorporated into our Code of Conduct and anchored as a guideline in our company.

We have a central compliance officer and have also set up an ombudsman's office to which our employees, business partners and third parties can turn to report violations and criminal offenses confidentially - anonymously in cases of doubt.
