New appointments to the Supervisory Board of Stromnetz Berlin GmbH

At the beginning of July, Stromnetz Berlin GmbH was officially transferred to the State of Berlin, represented by BEN Berlin Energie und Netzholding GmbH. This was accompanied by new appointments to the company's supervisory board. For the State of Berlin, State Secretary Christian Rickerts, Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Operations, was appointed as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, and Anja Naujokat, Senate Department for Finance, Klaus Wichert, Senate Department for the Environment, Transport and Climate Protection, Beate Profé, Senate Department for Urban Development and Housing, and Wolfgang Neldner, BEN Berlin Energie und Netzholding GmbH, were newly appointed as members of the Supervisory Board. With the appointment of Dr. Arwen Colell as an external expert for energy transition and the energy industry, the employer side of the Supervisory Board is now complete.

The Chairman of the Supervisory Board Christian Rickerts, State Secretary in the Senate Administration for Economic Affairs, Energy and Companies, explains: "I am very much looking forward to working together in this professionally diverse committee. Against the backdrop of climate change and the growing city, the company is facing important challenges. To ensure a sustainable and secure power supply, the municipal grid operator must continue to invest in the future and consistently support the energy and mobility transition. The current Supervisory Board is perfectly positioned to accompany Stromnetz Berlin GmbH on this journey."

The Supervisory Board of Stromnetz Berlin GmbH, which has a total of 12 members, is filled based on equal representation. There have also been changes in the members for the employee side. In addition to the previous representatives, Ellen Naumann, ver.di and Uwe Nolte, Stromnetz Berlin, have been appointed as new members.
