5. Update / End of power outage in Berlin-Johannisthal
Johannisthal: Power has been restored
11.09.2025, 04:37 PM
In Treptow-Köpenick, the electricity supplies to all households and commercial customers have been restored. Shortly after 4.30 p.m., around 60 hours after the start, the disruption caused by an arson attack was rectified. This was made possible by an interim solution set up over the past two days - a connection between two lines near the electricity pylons in Johannisthal that were damaged by the fire. We would like to thank all those affected for their patience, prudence and solidarity. The fact that the fault has already been rectified was only made possible by the tremendous commitment of the Stromnetz Berlin teams and the excellent cooperation with the fire brigade, police, technical relief organisation, BEW, our partner companies, and the district of Treptow-Köpenick.
The actual repair of the damaged lines will commence over the next few days, and will take some time. However, this means that there will be no further planned power interruptions.
