Vote now: Berlin looking for the most beautiful electricity box of 2025

Works of art from many parts of the city in online voting until 10 December

25.11.2025

Only Stromnetz Berlin has more animals than the zoo and animal park in the capital. Panda, gorilla and the rest adorn thousands of the 16,500 electricity boxes and transformer stations in the city. In 2025, schoolchildren once again used their project weeks to apply lots of animals and other creative motifs to almost 500 boxes and stations. Citizens of Berlin have until 10 December to decide which of the graffiti artworks is the most beautiful via our website  www.stromnetz.berlin/stromkastenstyling_2025 and on Instagram (@stromkastenberlin).

The winners of the public vote will be announced and honoured in January 2026. Depending on the category, Stromnetz Berlin will donate campaign vouchers for the classes or the artists money for the class fund and non-cash prizes. Schools from Lichtenberg, Reinickendorf, Neukölln, Steglitz, Hohenschönhausen, Wedding, Marzahn, Weißensee, Pankow, Kreuzberg, Treptow-Köpenick, Prenzlauer Berg, Friedrichshain and Mitte have applied with a total of 53 different electricity boxes and transformer stations.

In addition to the Audience Award, there are prizes in three other categories. They will not be voted for online. A jury of experts made up of street artists, business, media and political representatives, and employees of Stromnetz Berlin will make the decision.

Stromnetz Berlin wants to make our city a little more colourful with its electricity box styling. The project has been running for more than 15 years. So far, around 8,500 of the company's 16,500 electricity boxes and numerous transformer stations have been decorated by children and young people from year 5 upwards together with street artists during project weeks. For many years, the weeks have been organised by the Reinickendorf-based association meredo e.V., and Stromnetz Berlin 2025 has signed a new contract with them for the next four years.
