2. Update: Power outage in Berlin-Johannisthal
Supplies restored to around half of customers
09.09.2025, 22:15 Uhr
Of the approximately 50,000 customers affected by the arson attack in Johannisthal, Bohnsdorf, Niederschöneweide, Grünau, Adlershof, Altglienicke and neighbouring districts, the supplies to just under half of them had been restored by 8.15 pm.
Customers who are still without electricity must be prepared for a longer outage. We currently assume that we will be able to reconnect all affected customers to the network by Thursday evening. Trams are also affected by the supply interruption.
We would once again like to ask all customers who were affected by the power outage and whose supplies have now been restored to please reduce your electricity consumption.
This will enable us to keep your own power supply stable and - if technically possible - to connect further customers to the grid.
Specifically, we ask you to adopt energy-saving measures. If possible, avoid using vacuum cleaners, washing machines, dishwashers, ovens or other energy-intensive appliances. Thank you in advance for your help in this difficult situation.
In emergencies, please contact the nearest police station or fire station directly. Disaster control lighthouses have been set up in the district where all residents can receive information and charge their mobile phones. The emergency number for the Treptow-Köpenick district is 90297-4888.
