Berlin distribution system operator Stromnetz Berlin GmbH has just released two new mobile apps which allow users to view their domestic electricity consumption and access live displays of electricity consumption in the whole of Berlin.
Stromnetz Berlin GmbH recently launched its own brand channel on the YouTube video portal. The Berlin distribution system operator will regularly update the channel, which can be reached via the link below, to keep visitors and subscribers informed about the latest news from the Berlin electricity grid.
At a cost of around €3.5 million, Stromnetz Berlin GmbH is having the underground electricity grid replaced in Mierendorffplatz in Charlottenburg. Local domestic customers and business customers will be able to enjoy improved supply quality.
After around 85 years of service, the first pylon on the stretch of overhead electricity lines between Charlottenburg and Moabit on Quedlinburger Strasse was dismantled. Over the next few weeks, this complete 110,000 volt section of overhead line, measuring around 4.7 km in total and with 29 electricity pylons of up to 45 m in height will be dismantled by the operators of Berlin's energy grid.
