How does the application process work?
Our application process consists of the following seven steps:
- application via our online careers portal and submission of your documents incl. cover letter, CV and relevant performance records
- Preselection using the documents submitted
- Recruitment tests (contingent)
- In-person or online interview
- Assessment (contingent)
- Decision
- Job offer/work contract
What will happen to my application when I have sent it off?
Once you have sent your application documents online to Stromnetz Berlin, you will receive an automatic confirmation of receipt by email. Our recruitment staff will inspect your documents and carry out preselection together with the department that is hiring.
After preselection we will get in touch with you as soon as possible (by telephone or email). In order not to miss any messages from us, please regularly check your email and, just in case, your spam folder. All applications will be handled in confidence.
How do I know my application has been received by Stromnetz Berlin?
As soon as your application arrives at Stromnetz Berlin, confirmation will be sent to the email address you have given. If you don’t receive email confirmation, please check your email account’s spam folder. If our email arrived there, please add us to your safe senders list so you don’t miss another message from us.
Can I apply for other positions at Stromnetz Berlin after an application I have submitted has been declined?
Absolutely! You can apply at any time for another position at Stromnetz Berlin.
Can I apply for several jobs at Stromnetz Berlin at once?
Yes, of course this is possible. If several positions at Stromnetz Berlin are of interest to you you can submit applications for all of them.

What documents do I have to submit with my application?
For us, you cover letter, CV and latest performance records (education certificates and references) are most important. You are welcome to add documents you feel they would add to your application.
How are my data secured?
Your data are only accessible to authorised persons within Stromnetz Berlin GmbH and are treated in confidence. All personal data you provide as part of your application are subject to data protection law and the data protection guidelines of Stromnetz Berlin GmbH.
How long will Stromnetz Berlin retain the application and my personal data?
If your application is for a specific position, the personal data you have provided in the application form will be erased from our job database or anonymised at the most six (6) weeks after completion of the hiring process.
If you have agreed to the further retention of your personal data by Stromnetz Berlin or entry into our talent pool, we will store your personal data for a period of at most two (2) years, erasing or anonymising it once this period has elapsed.
Who has access to the data I have provided with my application?
Stromnetz Berlin GmbH provides the data only to the company’s personnel department and those who are directly involved in the hiring process.
