The winners of junction box styling 2021 have been chosen

22.03.2022

Today, it was finally time for the award ceremony to take place live and in colour once again. With fewer guests than usual, but in person, the young artists involved were welcomed to the Moabit CHP plant.

In summer and autumn last year, the pupils created designs for a total of 603 junction boxes and 17 transformer stations under professional supervision by the associations meredo e.V. and Helliwood media & education. Various motifs were chosen, from A for aliens and K for koala, to S for space. 23 of the participating school classes and projects submitted their results in the competition. The motifs were evaluated by a colourful jury. Prizes included an addition to the class kitty, vouchers for shopping or a trip to the cinema.

Thomas Schäfer, Managing Director of Stromnetz Berlin GmbH, announced the results of the jury together with radio presenter Moe: Points and prizes were awarded in three categories, with two first places being awarded in the "transformer station" category due to an identical number of points.
