Restructuring of the network in Steglitz-Zehlendorf

We are laying and expanding high-voltage cables in your area to ensure a future-proof power grid.

Berlin's growing demand for electricity requires extensive expansion of the power grid. Capacity is set to double by 2033, which will require extensive work on Berlin's distribution network in the coming years. In order to guarantee the reliability of the grid and minimise the risk of power outages, around 6,000 additional cables will be laid in addition to the existing 36,000 kilometres of cables.

Construction work to expand and renovate the high-voltage grid will begin in Steglitz in 2025. Completion is scheduled for 2030.
