Replacement construction of the Mitte grid node
We are investing in your neighbourhood’s future, and thus in maintaining and expanding a secure electricity grid.
More and more charging stations for electric vehicles and photovoltaic systems on roofs and balconies are shaping Berlin’s cityscape. And in future, Berlin’s electricity grid will also be used for part of the heat supply. To ensure that our electricity grid is reliably equipped for all these tasks, we are modernising and expanding our Mitte grid node.

Restrictions during construction work
Construction work is rarely silent, nor does it take place without restrictions. You should expect the following disruptions during the construction period:
- Temporary restrictions or closures on public roads.
- Work will take place on weekdays between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. (depending on the season) and will lead to increased noise levels during certain phases.
- Construction noise will not occur throughout the entire construction period, but only during individual phases that are necessary for the construction work.
- Access to private properties will remain unaffected, but if access routes are affected, individual arrangements will be made on site with the responsible construction company.
- No planned power cuts are expected.
- Emergency routes and waste disposal will remain unaffected. Please note any notices posted by the BSR.
