None of the 5,878 electricity customers of the supplier Care Energy in Berlin need to worry that they will suddenly be without power.
None of the 5,878 electricity customers of the supplier Care Energy in Berlin need to worry that they will suddenly be without power. As of 29 June 2016, all those end customers affected are now supplied by the local default provider within the scope of the "replacement supply", according to Paragraph 38 of the German Energy Industry Act (EnWG).
The default provider is the energy company that provides general energy supply for the most household customers in a grid area – in Berlin this is Vattenfall Europe Sales GmbH.
Both Care Energy AG and the transmission system operator 50Hertz Transmission GmbH had announced that the balancing group contract concluded between them would end on 29 June 2016. The contract was the basis for Berlin household and business customers to be able to purchase energy from the provider Care Energy.
The electricity network operator Stromnetz Berlin GmbH has now contacted the end customers in Berlin who have been affected by post to provide their meter reading.
