Construction of the Marzahn substation
In a metropolis like Berlin, many components are needed to distribute energy: Electricity is transported via cables; transformed to another voltage level in substations and grid station.
In Märkische Allee there is a transformer station that has been in operation since the 1980s. The switchgear and transformers no longer meet the technical requirements and need to be replaced.
It is difficult to integrate new equipment into an existing building and to ensure the ongoing operation of the plant.
We are therefore building a new transformer station in the immediate vicinity.
