Berlin Britz: new cables for a secure energy supply

Stromnetz Berlin GmbH is about to renew the low-voltage grid cables in the Britz area.

Stromnetz Berlin GmbH is about to renew the low-voltage grid cables in the Britz area. These works are scheduled to take place between 1 September and November 2015. The new cables will ensure a secure, high-performance energy supply and are a long-term necessity, in order to cope with the increase in decentralised energy generation and electromobility. It will reduce the risk of power outages for Britz residents.

The works will be carried out primarily on the district's roads and pavement areas and will take place in stages on the following streets:

• Haarlemer Straße
• Scheveninger Straße
• Buschkrugallee
• Pintschallee
• Hannemannstraße
• Riesestraße
•  

There may be temporary disruptions in the power supply from time to time due to the switch over to the new cables. The affected households and business customers will be notified in advance.
