For the love of electricity

Colleagues at Stromnetz Berlin report on their experiences in starting their careers.

From March 2020, personal contact was mainly restricted to Skype, Zoom and Teams. This had an effect on the day-to-day work: How, for example, can the application and recruitment process work if the employer and applicant mainly meet via computer screen? 

In 2020, we were able to attract many new colleagues to our company. We are delighted with this success and also see it as an incentive, because our personnel requirements will continue to increase in the coming years. Only by expanding the workforce can we fulfil our role as the operator of Berlin’s electricity grid and partner for the Berlin community. This is why, in our 2020 Annual Report, we show how we manage to find new colleagues in the dating age as well as what it is like to work for us and find professional fulfilment.
